We recently visited Nevada and California. Out of respect for your time I’ll share the “Best of” from the trip.

Chile Relleno, Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill, Ceasar’s Palace
Best Greeting
The pines and aspens of Northstar Resort and graciousness of our friends Linda and Jim.
Best Welcome Cocktail
Actually, we had champagne upon arrival and more pretty cocktails at Cottonwood, overlooking the quaint mountain village of Truckee, CA.
Best Sunday
Brunch at The Ritz Carlton with S’mores for dessert…Linda knows the way to my heart!!!
Best Afternoon
Tailgating at Brigance Manor for the Tennessee game and enjoying the nature around us.
Best Relaxation Day
Drinking, Eating and Boating on Lake Tahoe…check out the filming location for The Godfather II.
Best Design Inspiration
We loved the Ying Yang of the old and new side by side.
Best Lunch
Sunnyside Seafood Salad
Best Scenic Overlook
Emerald Bay
Best Meal NOT at Brigance Manor
Dinner at Lone Eagle Grill, Incline Village, Nevada…check out the amazing Baked Tahoe!!!
Best One Night Stand
We’d planned to go to Sonoma for a few days but there was an earthquake. So we just went to our favorite spot in Berkely for a night and enjoyed the bounty of the bay at Spenger’s.
Then back to Vegas to actually work. There is no design inspiration (for me) in Vegas and I’m not good at sand photography so here’s a few more food shots.
Amazing Prime Rib, TJ’s
Then two, yes two meals and Mon Ami Gabi…may be three next time!!!
Country Pate, Broiled Scallops, Moules and Frites, Pan Seared Skate, Steak Frites and Chocolate Mousse for Dinner
Make-your-own Bloody Mary, Quiche Lorraine, Corned Beef Hash, Croque Madame and Lemon Pancake on the second seating…fourteen hours later.
All the houses were lovely…well, our friends houses were lovely…and a FABULOUS time was had by all!!!
