Seersucker Season

I know “they” say the rules no longer apply.  However, white shoes, seersucker and linen were created to wear between Easter and Labor Day  according to my mother’s fashion handbook…and it’s that book by which I will always abide.  Whether it’s a celebration of death and resurrection or peeps and jelly beans Easter does allow Spring to officially begin with fashion, food and frivolity.

The meal seemed extra good…cooking with love always does!

We called it Green Salad…Lemon Lime Jello Salad…Mom always did it in a bunny mold for Easter.

Linda did traditional deviled eggs and smoked salmon deviled eggs…so good they’d make a preach swear.

 Teresa did Ina Garten’s Mushroom and Leek Bread Pudding…this was incredible with the pork.

And to finish the meal a Pineapple Cake with Seven Minute Icing and Fresh Coconut.

We toasted good friends and the memory of those who have crossed over…with lots of champagne!

The house was lovely and a good time was had by all.
