Progress and Preparation

A trip to Tupelo, MS allows me to share the progress on one project, the beginnings of a second project and a beautiful retail space.

You’ve seen some construction shots of the ongoing addition/remodel project. However, this is how the kitchen has looked…up until now.

P1030226This is the new kitchen with its espresso, enameled, rift cut oak wall cabinets and clear coat maple double-island.  The beauty of the kitchen will be second only to the fun and function of multiple cooks in the kitchen.  The smaller unit is a breakfast and beverage pantry. I promise you’ll get to see it all when it’s fully installed.

The new project is a wedding.  You’ll have to wait until June 2014 to see the “after” but here’s the before.

P1030243I really look forward to the opportunity to enhance this sanctuary for a really sweet bride and groom.  As wedding planner, I will work alongside the talented staff at Jody’s Flowers in Tupelo to make the wedding a special memory for all.

But this is what I want you to remember…

This is where the wedding reception will be held.  Demolition and remodeling begins next week on this event space to be called The Antler. The large open space will be walled and become The Grand Hall for large-scale events and meetings.  The space in between will be a Promenade with outdoor seating and a fireplace.  The smaller space will be The Public House…a space for smaller parties or dinners…it has an existing full commercial kitchen.  The space with the long porch will be The Bunkhouse with four rooms and bathrooms for overnight guests.  I’ve seen the plans and wanted you to see the before…and in June, the after.  I’m so excited to have a blank canvas to stage a Three-Act Reception to celebrate a great couple and honor the guests that come to share the celebration.

Finally.  Sing with me…Christmastime is coming, Christmastime is coming, Christmastime is coming; And it won’t be very long.  Yes, I grew up with a father that loved Bluegrass music…thank you Bill Monroe.

Jody’s Flowers in Tupelo is “decked” for the holidays.

I can’t imagine any holiday look you would want that they don’t have.

If you’re going organic…they have that, too.

Maybe you just want a “freshen up” to your family heirlooms…yep, they have that, too.  Should you be in the Tupelo vicinity it’s worth the effort to stop by Jody’s for all your holiday decor needs. They have  beautiful and unique gifts, as well.

Again, I promise you will get to see all the finished projects.  And, again, I promise you the house(s) will be lovely and a good time will be had by all!!!
