Fall and winter are not my favorite seasons with regards to temperature. I truly hate temperatures below 60 degrees. However, the joys of decorating with autumnal and holiday colors as well as entertaining makes the chill a bit more bearable.
River Arts Brunch
The River Arts Festival is literally on the street in front of our loft. We began our holidays a bit early with a brunch before we strolled the festival. I tried to be artistic keeping the table monochromatic and very organic.

Holiday Cocktails
The holiday season really kicked off with a cocktail party honoring our Cousin Susan that was visiting from San Diego and our Sweet Teresa that was home in between cancer treatments. I don’t remember who brought what but the table was lovely and a FABULOUS time was had by all!!!
Thanksgiving at The Loft
And, just five short days later it was time to celebrate, again. We were all thankful for good health, happiness and the company of chosen family. I used the Farnor Silver, Stella’s china, Dillard Fay’s vases and enjoyed recipes handed down through generations as well as new additions like the Grilled Turkey Roulade.
I cheated on dessert. I’ve found Frost in Memphis and may never bake, again. And, if you like Pecan Pie…the Pecan Tarts at Starbucks are absolutely amazing…shortbread crust!!!
So…
On to Christmas!!!
So thankful for all my clients. Not only do they allow me to work for them they have proven to be dear friends. Together, we celebrate life’s joys and sorrows. Together, we combine form and function with fun and frivolity. Together, we create opportunities for memories that last a lifetime. To have clients/friends that trust my expertise and respect my profession is a gift that words can’t describe. I’m blessed beyond measure.
Hall out the Holly…
Put up the tree before my spirit falls again
Fill up the stockings
I may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now
For we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute
Candles in the window
Carols by the spinet…had to finish the song:-)
We need a little Christmas, now!!!
Here’s hoping your holidays are Merry and Bright,
Your house is lovely,
And, a good time is had by all!!!
Cheers!!!
BREATHTAKING!!!!! XOXOXOXO
